Dr. Jeanne Chabot
Jeanne R. Chabot, DC, licensed chiropractor, has over 36 years in chiropractic practice. She holds a BA from Southeastern Mass. University, and graduated Magnum Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Her post-graduate training includes chiropractic orthopedics, physiological therapeutics, Therapeutic Touch, myokinesthetics, core stabilization for the lumbar spine, myofascial work, adjustment and evaluation of extremities, chiropractic care for special populations and spinal pelvic stabilization. She has received many honors and is active in several professional associations. Dr Chabot has been certified as an Herbalist since 1997. Dr. Jeanne has been certified as a Reiki Master in October of 2010. Her special interests include studying healing techniques from different cultures, animals, yoga, painting, and walking in nature. She enjoys working with patients in chiropractic through balancing the spine, nutritional needs, exercises and ergonomics to improve health.
Joni Pepper
Joni Pepper, BS. LMT, is the business manager and a licensed massage therapist with 12 years experience. She holds a BS from the University of Montevallo and graduated from the Red Mountain Institute of Massage Therapy. She specializes in clinical massage and is certified in neuromuscular, myofasical release, and sports massage and has been with the Center since 1995. Her interests include all types of sports and business, economics and politics.
Dr. Ann J Clark
Ann J. Clark, PhD, RN, a complementary health practitioner, joined the center in 2007, following retirement from UAB where she served on the faculty for 17 years. She’s an RN with a BS from Macalester College, MN from Emory University and a PhD from the University of Chicago. She has received extensive training in health promotion, various forms of energy work and is ASCH trained in hypnotherapy. She specializes in combining traditional and complementary therapies to promote maximum wellness.
Brenda Ammons
As you come in the door, most likely the first friendly face you will see will be Brenda’s. Brenda, office manager and a chiropractic assistant, has been with Dr. Chabot since 1982. Before joining the staff, Brenda attended UAB in early childhood education. She has previously been employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama, Pacific Telephone and Southern Bell. Brenda is a Birmingham native. She’s married to Ron, a local contractor, and has a married daughter and a son. She enjoys travel, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Samantha
As you come back to a private treatment room, you’ll meet Sam, chiropractic assistant and licensed radiological technician. Sam will take your x-rays and assist Dr. Jeanne with the various therapies offered. She joined the center in 2009, understanding the role chiropractic has in our lives due to she is a patient herself. In her spare time, Samantha is a pastry chef and photographer. She and her husband have three cats Dolly,Tigger, and Coco, plus a rabbit named Thumper.
Kaye
You may also see Kaye behind the desk on some days. She works with insurance claims and other office tasks. Kaye attended the University of Alabama in laboratory technology. She is a member of the American Society of Medical Technology with a specialty in hematology. She also trained at UAB in flow cytometry/service markers and electron microscopy. Before her retirement from laboratory technology in 1998, she managed hematology in two local hospitals.
